Lazy Sunday....

We enjoyed a lazy Sunday morning last weekend. Declan took a strong interest in the morning paper! Not so much reading it quite yet, but ripping it. I joined in at one point because it looked kind of fun!

Colleen and her boyfriend, Andy just got a new puppy named Manny! I stopped over to meet him last week, and he is adorable! I can't believe Luca used to be that small! My other sister Katie and Will are getting a new puppy next weekend, so Luca will have lots of new friends to play with!

Declan got his own little airplane the other day. He had fun exploring and riding it around the living room. It lit up and made noises, which of course was his favorite part!

Weeeeee!

Last weekend, it was so nice out. We had to take advantage, so we took Luca and Declan on a walk to the park. Declan loves going on the swings, and laughs hysterically the entire time. We had to put a blanket in front of him because he didn't quite fill it out yet!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

We needed to make sure our little leprechaun was well suited for the special holiday. We thought he looked pretty cute! Aunt Katie got him his little hat from Ireland!!

Long.....and I mean long overdue

I know, I know.

I can't believe it is almost been three months since I last wrote on here. How time has flown by. It's crazy how life can just pass by so quickly. We have been having fun with our little rugrat, and it's hard to believe he will almost be a year old on May 9.

Some new accomplishments Declan has had are:

- Crawling with his belly in the air (FINALLY!), however, he has no problem inch worming when he wants to get somewhere quickly.
- Climbing up on everything, and standing. He loves to climb on tables, couches, windows, walls....basically anything!
- He is eating just about everything these days, but his favorite foods are bananas and macaroni and cheese.
- He jabbers all day, and has new sounds everyday. He has been saying mama and dada for some time now, but we he definetely knows who mama and dada are.
- Him and Luca are buddies.....hang out all the time. It's so cute.
- Sleeping through the night....with the occasional pacifier need in the middle of the night, but he goes right back down. Now that he knows how to stand up in his crib, he likes to hang out in his crib a bit before he goes to bed.
- He loves being outside, especially when he gets to go swinging at the park. He laughs hysterically the entire time....it's hilarious!

Date Night!

My friend Molly came over and watched Declan for a few hours so Tony and I could enjoy a night out. We went out with our friends Rich and Angela and had a great time. We decided to go down to the Depot for a little skating, and had a blast. We had never been down there before, and it was such a fun winter thing to do. Then, we went back to the Higgins house for some good food and a little Wild hockey game. Thanks Molly for giving us a night out!
