Family Baby Shower

My Rooney-side aunts threw a baby shower for me a few weekends ago, and we had so much fun! The shower was at my Aunt Megan's, and she had it decorated so cute! It was great to spend some time with all the gals. Tony and I are so appreciative with all of the great gifts we received! My little cousin Kelsey took some pictures, which are posted below.

Such a cute cake!

They had a beautiful corsage for me when I got there....it was nice to smell fresh flowers and reminded me that spring is right around the corner!

Godparents....

Tony and I had Mike Rutter (Tony's best friend) and my sister, Colleen over on Friday night for dinner. We wanted to ask them to be Godparents to Baby Caswell, so I made some homemade french onion soup (yum!) and grasshopper pie! Mike and Colleen were honored and so excited, as are we! I even scheduled the Baptism, which feels wierd because we haven't even met our little guy yet! We had a fun night catching up over dinner and of course cuddling with Luca. She likes to remind us that she is still there when we talk about the baby too much! Tony and I know she is going to be a good big sister to Baby Caswell! I took some pics from the night....

St. Patrick's Day!

It's always been tradition that on St. Patrick's Day, we head down to downtown St. Paul for the Irish festivities. We celebrated Saturday, and when Tony and I got down there at about 3p.m., it was already crazy. We stopped at McGovern's to meet up with friends and my family, and we quickly realized that being pregnant and trying to walk through McGovern's didn't mix! It was insane in there, but I will say that I got up to the front of the bathroom line! The perks of being pregnant in a bar!
We ended up going over to Mike Rutter's after about an hour fighting crowds (which is also a tradition!) My parents always join us, which is always a good time! Rock Band was a constant all night, which my dad ended up loving! I got some pics from the night.....

2008 State Hockey Tournament

STA WON!!
As always, our family had a blast at the MN High school Hockey Tournament....it was our last year having Conor at STA, and they went out with a bang, winning the A tournament! Colleen had shirts made for us that we all had fun wearing! Conor didn't know we had them until his first game when he came out on the ice. That was a fun surprise! We spent most of Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in downtown St. Paul.

Here are some pictures from the weekend....

Con's girlfriend, Alexa came down for the tournament (from New Ulm!) She also made a sign for Conor...and she got on tv. It was so cute!

Ten weeks to go......

I had my 30 week appointment (translation....only ten weeks to go!) yesterday and all went well. I feel like I had a ton of questions for my doctor this week though because the little guy is kicking like crazy lately!! He is all over the place. One minute, he will be kicking up near the top of my tummy, and then an hour later, he will be kicking my bladder and tailbone. I will be walking at work and get a quick shooting pain down my tailbone and almost lose my balance. I am sure people at work are getting a little laugh when they see that from down the hallway!

For all you prego people out there, you know that you feel like you have to go the bathroom ALL THE TIME....literally! This whole time, we were thinking he was kicking my bladder, but my Dr. thinks that his head is often down, and he is probably just punching my bladder....oh, what do we have in store for us!? A little Dennis the Menace perhaps!?

It's still very fun, but I am getting pretty big, and I think because I am only 5'1'', the baby has nowhere else to go, but out! I have a giant soccer ball on my tummy! It's worked nicely for a little shelf a few times, or a place for my hands to rest themselves:) I also have got the infamous "pregnancy waddle" down perfectly by now, and I can't go up one flight of stairs anymore without looking like I attempted a half marathon. Things have changed alot in the last few weeks, which must mean he is really growing in there!

Tony and I are still working on our nursery. We don't have any furniture yet, but we have time (kind of!) I think the next couple of months are going to fly by! At work, I get to begin my maternity leave two weeks before my due date, so my last day at work will be April 30th....so close! It will nice to get some last minute things done though, and I have a feeling that by then, I will be pretty uncomfortable!

That's about it for an update. My mom and Colleen came to my 30 week appointment, which was fun! Colleen couldn't believe the sound of the heartbeat! It is pretty amazing to be able to hear him in there. We went to breakfast afterwards, which made for a short little "girl hangout" before I had to head back to work for the day. We'll be going every two weeks now for Dr. appt's, so I am sure I will have more
to update (and more pics hopefully soon!)

Lil' Miss Clara Jean Goodman...

Brand new mama Michelle had some of us gals over last night to meet her little Clara Jean. Isn't that just the cutest name you have ever heard?!
She was just a little peanut and I think she looks like her mom! Michelle looked great too, a complete natural!

Didn't she look like a little pea in a pod in the boppy!?

Minnesota Hockey!

The Minnesota State Highschool Hockey tournament is our favorite time of the year, and Conor (STA) made it again this year! Tony and I have had so much fun supporting and going too all of Conor's games throughout his highschool career. This is their last chance at state, and we are all so excited for him. Colleen even made t-shirts that we'll all wear. We are all look dorky and cute, but totally don't care, because we have way too much fun doing it!

Once again, we'll all take off work during the games next week and spend lots of time in downtown St. Paul with the rest of Minnesota's hockey fans!

Pics taken from their section final game this past weekend.
