Twenty Weeks and it's a Boy!

It's a Boy!!

Tony and I had our twenty week appointment last Friday followed by an ultrasound. We did want to find out the gender, but wanted to celebrate what we found out. Tony and I both had to go back to work after our appointments, so we decided to have the ultrasound technician keep the gender a secret from us during the appointment. It was funny....we kept having to cover our eyes when the gender was being revealed! We kept it a secret though and had her write it down in a sealed envelope for us to open later. Then, Tony and I went out to dinner that night and opened it up, which made it so much more fun to celebrate! We are so excited to be having a little baby boy!
We were able to tell our families over the holidays, which was such a fun Christmas surprise. Tony is already planning the nursery, which involves lots of hockey stuff:) The rest of the ultrasound went very well too. We were able to see his little hands, feet, heart, spine and face! It was incredible. He was already being a little stinker too! He kept putting his little arms over his face when we were trying to take a picture of his face - it was pretty funny!

Twenty weeks....and Luca wanted to be in the picture!

Cookies and Carter Brandon Casey!

We had our annual Beehive Christmas Cookie Party at Lindsey's this year. It a fun tradition where we each bake our own cookies and package them up for everyone, so all of us leave the night with six new cookies! We of course sample them all during the night too!
We also bring a good gift and an elephant gift and have a fun little giveaway where we sit in a circle and roll dice for doubles! The elephant gits this year were hilarious, so we will have to top that again next year. Somehow one gift keeps making its way back every year.....and the Beehive girls know what I am talking about!
The highlight of the night is that we were all able to spend some time with Molly Casey's brand new little boy.....Carter Brandon Casey! He was such a good sport, with six chatty women all day! We even got to sneak some pictures with him.....

Brand new mama Mols....she's a natural!

So tiny! He has such a personality already!

He wasn't sure about me quite yet!

We ended up whipping out the Nintendo Wii and playing tennis.

Anne and Danni looked like professionals!

Goodbye to our little Johnnies fan!

First snow fall!

Luca has been having a blast running around in the snow this weekend. I took some pictures of Tony running around with her Sunday morning.
Luca loves to eat snow!

Let's race!

Still not quite sure was this is. It was green two days ago!

Luca chasing after a snow ball that had rolled away. We didn't say she was the smartest!

16 weeks!

We had our 16 week appointment last week and everything looks good. The heartbeat is so neat to listen too. It was a pretty uneventful visit, just a tummy check as they call it!
We are excited, because we scheduled our next ultrasound on Friday, December 21st. We both want to find out the gender of the baby and can't wait! We will be keeping our name ideas a secret (to keep some surprise!), but we can 't wait to start shopping and planning when we know the gender. It will be such a fun Christmas gift when we find out! I'm starting to show, which has been fun! It's funny because Luca will come up and sniff my tummy. Tony and I like to think she knows what's going on!

My sister lives in London and hasn't seen me since this summer, and she asked me to send her some pictures of my baby bump!

Afton-Lakeland Girls Night!

A few weekends ago, we decided to get us Afton-Lakeland Elementary girls together. Gena had us all over for dinner and she has the cutest townhouse ever! She definitely takes after her mom in her antique decorations. The highlight of the night was that Sarah brought her little Will over. It was the first time I met him and he was so adorable! It was so fun to see Sarah in the role of a mother, and it got me even more excited for Tony and I to enter that stage in life soon!

I am so excited!

This is a picture of Annie and I with Will. He is so strong already!

We'll give this a try.....

Tony and I have decided to create a Blog. We thought it would be a nice way to update friends and family with the craziness of our lives, including upcoming planning for our little baby Caswell (before and after we have the baby!) and moving out of Lakeville (hopefully soon!), etc! Hope you like!
